Abstract
This plan has the purpose to localize and to estimate the influence of all possible error contributions throughout the whole system. It should be mentioned that the calibration covers only the adequate radiometric correction and proper scaling of data acquired under nominal X-SAR operation conditions. The calibration does not include the correction of any failure of the system or parts of it. Part 1 of the calibration plan provides the necessary procedures to correct for the major error contributions and gives an estimate of the achievable overall calibration accuracy. Part 2 contains the baselines for calibration data handling and distribution between JPL, DLR, the PAFs and the calibration PIs.
