Abstract
Meteorological radars are of prime importance for the derivation of models describing the influences of the atmosphere on satellite communication signals especially in the new frequency bands (20 - 50 GHz). Multiparameter radars, like the coherent polarimetric DLR radar (C-band), can provide more information than conventional ones due to multiple measurables. This contribution is concerned with recent progresses at DLR in this context.
