Abstract
The report spezifies a data formatter as part of a new data acquisition system for the airborne experimental SAR system of the DLR. Outstanding capability of the system is its flexibility with respect to input interfaces, different data sources, quantizing, header data and record length. The use of programmable logic devices makes adaption to different operational requirements easy. The output interface fits to the SONY DIR 1000 recorder.
