Abstract

The report describes a comprehensive campaign to geometrically and radiometrically calibrate high-resolution SAR images. Apart from describing the equipment used and the results obtained, techniques for focusing the images (motion compensation) and geocoding are dealt with in detail. The results show that high-precision SAR imagery can be achieved with small SAR platforms. The techniques discussed can also improve calibration accuracy for other sensors using more stable platforms.
