Abstract
Seminar Details In December 2004, the Boards of Directors of DLR and NLR have approved to enter a research alliance on Air Traffic Management (ATM) named AT-One. The signing of a letter of intent at the ATC-Maastricht fair allows the establishment of one of the largest ATM research and development co-operations worldwide. Goal is to join forces of the DLR Institute of Flight Guidance and the NLR Air Transport Division in the fields of ATM, including integrated airport processes, validation, air-ground integration, air transport policy, safety, security and environmental issues as well as human factors and training. Harmonisation of research programs, facilities and investments enhances the competitiveness of both organisations and contributes to the expansion of the leading position in European ATM Research. Together, the two organisations including about 260 highly qualified employees (scientists, technicians, engineers) offer top quality, broad spectrum ATM related research and development products and services contributing to the improvement of both the European and global ATM systems. Examples of AT-One products and services are: * ATM concepts and validations * Design and modifications of airport functions and processes * Development of ATM/Airport decision support systems and procedures * Policy support in the field of ATM, safety regulation and environmental issues * ATM/Airports safety and security assessments * Accident and incident investigations * Human-in-the-loop designs and validations (ground and air) * Design and validation of training methods Prototyping of civil flight deck operations and systems
