The high altitude simulation of rocket engines and propulsion systems are one of the excellent resources in the DLR test centre Lampoldshausen. The development of rocket steam generators as a main subsystems for the altitude simulation has been done with great success in the past and will be continued for future tasks. New altitude simulations, environmental conditions, decreasing budgets and flexible test objectives requires advanced steam generators.
