ELGAR: European Landing Gear Advanced Research; Final Report Subtask 1.1.2

Kurzfassung

In subtask 1.1.2. of the Project ELGAR the theoretical models of an active damping control shock absorber, developed in LAGER 1 by LAT and DLR are incorporated into the analysis programmes which include the landing gear systems and relevant FMTA representation developed by MDSA and MDL. Control laws are integrated in these models and aircraft flexibility is taken into account. Both landing impact and ground manoeuvring operations are investigated. With the defined criteria for optimizing active damping the benefits are demonstrated by performing full aircraft simulations. The influence of active control systems is evaluated in terms of frequency and time response in association with several landing gear technologies.
