Abstract

In the Brite/EuRam programme "Aeromechanical Design of Turbine Blades" (ADTurB) geometries of two stator vanes and a rigid and flexible rotor blade (with the same airfoil but different foot parts) are applied to investigate blade forced response problems in a typical gas turbine stage. The experiments will be performed in the windtunnel for rotating cascades (RGG) at DLR Goettingen. This report documents theoretical and actual (measured) blade geometries, throat areas and blade spacings at tip of both stators and the rigid and flexible rotor. Deviations of the gap width between stator and rotor from the design values are also measured for all stage configurations. In order to adjust the windtunnel parameters to desired operating point flow conditions wake traverse measurements have been done in the rotor downstream flow field with a total pressure and flow angle probe. Averaged values from probe measurements and additional averaged values from Laser flowfield measurements were used to calculate one-dimensional parameters of the stage configurations.
