Abstract

Experimental measurements of shock-boundary layer interaction in hypersonic high enthalpy flow are presented in this paper. The experiments are carried out in the High Enthalpy Shock Tunnel (HEG) of the German Aerospace Center DLR in Göttingen, Germany. A double ramp model is used to obtain separated flow. The schlieren technique is used to obtain temporally resolved images with up to 50 kHz. Pressure and heat transfer distributions are measured with fast sensors mounted flush to the surface of the model
