This paper deals with the validation of turbulence models in the frame work of the DLR-TAU Code, a Navier-Stokes solver for hybrid, unstructured grids. Examples discussed here include the transonic RAE2822 airfoil (cases 9 and 10) and the ONERA Bump C. The turbulence models used in the TAU code are the one-equation model of Spalart-Allmaras and a variety of two-equation models of kw-type. These models are evaluated and the results are compared with experiments and earlier results obtained a structured code with algebraic or half-equation models
