This report presents activities of DLR in task 4 of EUROPIV. Investigations of the unsteady flow field around an ONERA RASC16 2D airfoil in high lift configuration were carried out in the low speed wind tunnel of DASA Bremen by means of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV). The observation regions coverd the area above the slat and the airfoil, the area below the slat as well as the zone of interaction of the flow from above the slat with the flow leaving the gap between slat and airfoil. Seeded particles were illuminated by pulsed lasers and pairs of images for evaluation by cross correlation were taken with a 1k by 1k video camera. These images were evaluated with the PIV evaluation software of DLR. Selected results are presented in this report.
