A viscous-inviscid interaction method is presented for the analysis of viscous flow around three-dimensional laminar wings and conventional wings. It consists of the transonic inviscid wing analysis code Flo22 and a three-dimensional integral laminar and turbulent boundary layer code including the prediction of transition, coupled by an interaction procedure based on the boundary layer displacement concept, representing a direct iterative method. Results obtained from the computation of the flow around different wing configurations and comparisons with results of other codes prove that the present method is a fast and low cost tool for the prediction of the influence of viscosity on the aerodynamic characteristics of three-dimensional wings.
