Supersonic commercial transport aircraft (SCT) are known for their favourable short travel times and their low-speed noise. Any attempt towards new SCT`s therefore needs to aim at technologies for low noise take-off and landing. The EC-Project EPISTLE focuses on aerodynamic high-lift system designs contributing significant low-speed noise reductions. The high-lift system design and validation work at DLR relying on separated flow topology will be reported.
