Numerical results of the solution of the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations (RANS)for a complex high-lift configuration of a transport aircraft are shown. Two different configurations with an open and a closed thrust-gate are considered. The following topics are discussed: the grid generation process, the flow solution method and comparison of numerical and experimental data obtained during wind-tunnel tests.
