The first part of the paper presents a comparison between CFD results and wind tunnel measurements on the isolated fuselage of the EC145 helicopter in level flight conditions at medium flight speed. Two RANS (Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes) codes have been used for this analysis: the multiblock structured code FLOWer and the unstructured code TAU. The second part of the paper shows the effect on local and global flow quantities of the Actuator Disk (AD) boundary condition implemented in the FLOWer code. For this purpose isolated fuselage results about the EC145 in high speed forward flight have been compared with the corresponding results on a fuselage plus AD configuration.
