Using the mobile DLR PSP-System and DLR02 paint in a two days test principle investigations were performed for different pressure ratios (100 to 320) between the test section and the RCS to check the usability in such type of flows. After some test runs to check the principal function and strong enough paint and its good contact to the models surface, various objects were investigated at different flow speeds and temperatures. Especially on a rocket model the reaction control system (RCS) was investigated in detail for angles of attack around 15° and surface temperatures of -10°C to -20°C. A detailed pressure distribution around the nozzle in the middle cylindrical part of the model could be visualized and quantitative calculated as well as compared with conventional pressure taps.
