The present annual report describes the details of work within the scope of the DLR/ONERA common project Dynamic Stall during the year 2003, the second year of the project. The work at DLR concentrates on both numerical as well as experimental investigations with a concentration on dynamic stall control activities. These control activities have been done for the project ADASYS (ADAptive SYStems) together with German helicopter industry (ECD,EADS) as well as with activities done within the scope of the US/German MoU Aeromechanics of Rotorcraft, Task VII: Dynamic Stall Suppression together with the US-Army in Ames Research Center, CA. Some fundamental investigations have also been done in the area of transition during dynamic stall again on both numerical (RANS) as well as on experimental side. In the latter case the VAG-dynamic stall test stand has successfully been applied. Finally some new control devices, the synthetic jet concept has been investigated by numerical tools. The report shows the state of the art of the running project and gives some outlook about future activities.
