This report describes the implementation, verification, and validation of the Hellsten k-w EARSM developed within the EU-project HiAer. The model equations are summarized, and their implementation into DLR's unstructured flow solver TAU is briefly described. The implementation is verified by comparison with results for a turbulent flat plate boundary layer with zero pressure gradient. Validation computations are carried out for the airfoil RAE 2822 for conditions referred to as Case 9 and Case 10, representing transonic flow. For high-lift flow the model's validity is checked by polar computations for the A-310 three-element airfoil in landing configuration, ranging from the linear regime of the CL-alpha curve to beyond stall.
