Abstract

We have reported about application of our design methods for transonic aerodynamics to the Oblique Flying Wing, an innovative supersonic transport aircraft concept. Besides the positive, though limited results for illustrating how useful the transonic knowledge base can be also applied to extensions into hitherto neighboring aerodynamic fields, we should continue to emphasize the high potential of the OFW for future generation of new transport aircraft.
