Abstract

A high resolution multispectral stereo camera developed for extraterrestrial remote sensing and adapted for airborne operation has been tested over several sites in Europe to assess its potential for applications in geologic and environmental engineering, volcanology, comparative planetology, and disaster management. High resolution digital elevation models (DEM) and multispectral orthoimages have been derived using an automated photogrammetric processing software based on digital image matching and the multiple stereo principle.
